Is there an official teaching on labyrinths?

My spiritual director (a Catholic sister) introduced me to the labyrinth. I have since been informed by various articles that it has pagan roots and Christians should not use it. Is there anything in official Church teaching to prohibit or discourage its use? I understand there is one in an ancient cathedral in France (Chartres) so that made me think it was approved by the Church.

She had also introduced me to the enneagram which I have come to understand is not OK. Fr. Mitch Pacwa makes that clear in his book “Catholics and the New Age”. I am beginning to wonder if I should change spiritual directors. :confused:
