Is there any magisterial authority re. alternative medicine?

For several years now various members of my family have been seeing a brilliant but eccentric doctor for allergy treatments; he uses an alternative method known as NAET that is based on some Eastern practices. My mom recently heard that certain forms of alternative medicine are forbidden to Catholics due to their New Age / occult connections, and so now we’re wondering if we should still be seeing this doctor. Is there some formal Church authority/document that addresses alternative medicine and that can be used to evaluate it? Thanks!
