They’re the only two churches of the East Syrian Rite and besides being labeled as Eastern Catholic Churches do these two churches share any other communion? Are they ever in dialogue? From what I can see it looks like they don’t ever convene or acknowledge each other. It looks like they have more communication with their West Syrian neighbors than between themselves. Being so similar in liturgy and religious tradition I would think they would allows be in connection. Anyone know any information on this?

There is full Communion between the two, but other than at some event (ordination, Feast, etc), or in an area where the two parishes overlap, there usually isn’t any sort of joint event - Unfortunately. They are culturally and linguistically the same as their West Syriac neighbors so share more in social terms (Chaldeans, Syriacs, Maronites, and their Orthodox counters are all Arabic speaking Assyrians; Syro-Malabars and Knanayas are Malayalam speaking South Indians, like their Syro-Malankara and Malankara/Syriac Orthodox neighbors).

Yes. All of the 23 Churches that make up the Roman Communion (including those two) are in full communion with each other.

There is another East-Syrian Church, namely the ACoE, which is not in the Roman Communion. (Maybe someday …)
