Is there evidence of Jesus existence outside Bible?

I am having a serious debate with one of my lapsed sons that the new testament is just a mish mash of stories developed over centuries and that Jesus did not exist! He does however, believe in God

Another son has become an atheist and don’t waste his time trying to convert him.
