Is there heaven for animals?

I’m sure someone told me the lion plays with the lamb in heaven It would be nice if there is heaven for animals especially dogs
 
A better question might be, not whether there is another heaven for animals, or whether animals are in heaven.

Unfortunately this topic is one of the historical “hot button topics” on CAF that always ends up in a big argument, so I am not going to “go there”. You might use the board search functions to find the old threads if you wish to read them.

I can say this much:
  • Animals do not have souls
  • Animals do not commit sin
  • God cares about all of his creation, including animals
  • Recent Popes’ opinions on this issue of animals going to heaven have varied.
I am just putting my hope and trust in Our Lord on this issue and leaving it at that.

I will now mute this thread.
