Is there historical error in the Koran?

God not only stood aside but directly killed David’s innocent son because David had Uriah killed.

But David’s son was glorified being resurrected as the Prophet, and further glorified being resurrected as the Messiah.

The only conclusion is that God took his spirit home both times and left his body for dead, then raised Jesus in glory.

I was unaware that Islam taught that Mohamed was the resurrection (reincarnation?) of the illegitimate son of King David’s adulterous relationship with Bathsheba. I had never heard of that before. Where is that in the Koran?

This thread is falling to pieces because neither Jews nor Muslims believe that Jesus possesses divine nature, ie - Jesus is God.

I would not say falling to pieces, but it is clear that the fact the Jesus is God is lost on those who do not believe that God loves us enough to be willing to endure this world and sacrifice Himself for us.

That is one of the essential differences with Islam and Christianity. God loves us enough the He gave Himself as a sacrifice, once and for all, for us. We just have to believe.

No, because crucifixion is the Roman execution. It says that he was not crucified, but God ended his life. Therefore Jesus was not stopped by men per Isaiah 42:4 and his bones didn’t need to be broken to kill him, fulfilling that prophecy too.

According to John, who was underneath Jesus’ cross, said that “… he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost.” I was not God who took Jesus’ soul, but rather I was Jesus himself gave his soul to God. BTW, the way you describe the death of Jesus can be viewed as a play of a language. The most important thing is, Jesus died for the atonement of the sins. If the common method of death punishment was by hanging, perhaps, then Jesus would die by hanging. The manner of death is not important, but the meaning is. At least the bone would not be broken also.

The first option makes God guilty of standing aside and allowing a gruesome murder to take place despite being in a position to stop the crime.

On the other hand, performing a grand illusion like what David Copperfield did by making the Statue of Liberty “dissapear” is surely not a crime.
