Welcome to marriage. Who ever said that one is going to like their spouse every single moment of every single day of every single year? A healthy relationship is one where both parties realize that “like” is something that may come and go, bottom line is you stick with it because of commitment and the vow you made before God - when you don’t love them, when you don’t like them, and even when you DO backflips over them.
Not all marriages are real marriages. It’s possible that she is in an invalid marriage. Even if a marriage is valid, there are times when it’s best to separate. (Say if there is abuse or drugs or infidelity.)
The choices we make have an effect that lasts beyond our deaths. Just look at Elisabeth’s story.
And, by the way, I know your pain. I have been divorced, anulled, and married again to a woman of a different faith. It’s only recently I have found the path of Truth - and I KNOW the pain of a difficult marriage. I’m not just speaking platitutes here.
