Is this a bad word?

I occasionally find myself saying the word “damn” or “damn it” when I get angry or even casually in conversation (I usually try to say “darn”). I had never considered this to be blasphemous and have always avoided the “other” phrase that takes the Lord’s name in vain. Am I wrong in thinking that this is not a serious sin?

No, to use the word ‘damn’ as you do is not a sin. The word itself is not evil. It can be used in a course way. But still it is not a sin.
