Is this a good prayer routine?

Hi, I’m making a prayer schedule that I will pray every day. Currently, it looks like this:
  • Morning Prayer
  • Beginning of work
  • Grace before & after meals
  • Night prayers
  • Rosary every week
  • Angelus 2/3 times a day
Is there anything I should add?

How many of these prayers do you already do and how many are you adding to your routine?

If you haven’t been praying any of these, then my advice would be to start small – just one or two from your list – and make that your routine. As it becomes comfortable, then add another form of prayer.

It sounds really nice. As long as it strengthens your relationship with God!!

I’d recommend adding the divine mercy Chaplet its quick and really powerful.

If you’re talking about The Divine Office the Church recommends Morning & Evening prayer as the foundation. You can add Night Prayer if you like.

I recommend a suitable time of at least 15 minutes to devote to mental prayer, contemplation, dialogue with God in your own words.

For example, I take the Gospel, or the readings from the Holy Mass and alternate a few lines of reading with a few minutes of dialogue with God, which often extends to my personal life.

Even the Pope recommends this ancient practice.

If you like it, I suggest you reserve the moment of greatest clarity and tranquility of the day for her.

The ideal place is in front of the Tabernacle but, for lack of anything better, everything is fine.

This is a good question, I am glad you are interested in advancing your spiritual journey.

However, it’s really a question for your spiritual director (or confessor, if you don’t have a director).

God bless your desire to commune with His All Holy Spirit,
Deacon Christopher

Just keep it nice and simple. Just do what you are comfortable with. God calls us to have a childlike faith. I’m sure God is more than pleased with your prayers! ❤️
