Is this a 'sign' from St. Therese?

Hello everyone, I am not sure if this is the proper place for me to ask my question, but I prayed a Novena to St Therese (Little Flower).

I first came across her after my father passed away last month. We had a family friend send a sympathy card, along with a prayer service to her. From there, I did some research and saw you can pray a novena to her. One of the things that I read is you get a “gift” of a flower from her along with an answer to your prayer.

Now, since I am a guy … I know it is unlikely to receive flowers, but i had 2 examples where possibly i was “given” some. One, whilst praying the novena I had a beautiful screensaver on my computer of a mountain view, and a field of lupines. Then, another example was shortly after completing the novena I ordered myself a bag/messenger bag, and it had a “thank you” card from the company I ordered from that had photos of Rose’s on the front. As I mentioned, it’s harder for a man to receive flowers, so these are the 2 possible ways I can see myself receiving them.

The only reason why I ask, is my petition hasn’t really come together yet, but it really wasn’t a simple one. It may sound silly, but, it was more of a sign, or help in getting to know a girl my uncle introduced me to during my father’s funeral. My dad briefly mentioned something to my mom before he passed of a “nice girl” and my uncle mentioned to my mom about her being a good, hard working girl (she works for my uncle). I am sure he and my dad talked about it, and my dad was to return tomorrow, so I feel I would have been introduced to her regardless if I went to travel to bring my father back.

So anyway, I was just thinking about things more than I would like, which is why I wanted help, or a sign to figure out things. My main thing is, since I am single, and my dad never got to meet my future wife, it would have been nice thinking he would have introduced me to her anyway. That’s where I feel I am thinking too much about it, and why I would like help and clarification as to how I should go about the situation. I’ve had other things offer clear signs in the past after praying novenas.

I am planning on starting the novena a second time around. Has anyone else ever prayed to St Therese before? I apologize if I gave a long message to read.

Thanks

There are probably dozens of devotees to St. Therese on here. She and St. Anthony are the most popular US saints, at least based on the number of churches where you find their statues. I prayed to her every day for 10 months of last year. I fell off my prayer program around October for various reasons (travel, job stress, personal stress) but have recently resumed praying to her every day. She was my mother’s patron saint whom my mother was named after, as she was canonized while my mother was in the womb and I believe my grandma prayed to her for help with the pregnancy because my grandma contracted smallpox while pregnant. (Mom was born just fine and never needed a smallpox vaccination.)

She sends roses to let you know she’s heard the prayer and is taking care of it. That doesn’t necessarily mean you get what you asked for, but it means she is “on the job” and you shouldn’t worry.
It’s a good idea to continue to pray to her and other saints. She is a very nice saint to be friends with.

If you use the search function you can find past threads about St. Therese sending people roses.
