Is this a sin, or am I being scrupulous?

I’m an athlete and use ems frequently for muscle growth. Whenever I use it, however, unwanted thoughts pop into my head(sexual kind). Out of curiosity, I look up the relation between electrical impulses and sexual thoughts to see if maybe there was a common chemical released in the brain or something along those lines. Much to my dismay, however, I find nothing aside from some weird fetish(don’t know what I expected). At that point, I continue forward solely out of curiosity(the “I can’t believe this exists” kind), and a disgusted one at that. In doing so, I stumbled upon some unwanted content, which I clicked off of immediately, but I feel I should have expected that. Was this endeavour sinful, or am I just being scrupulous?

A. Venial sin is a slight offense against the law of God in matters of less importance, or in matters of great importance it is an offense committed without sufficient reflection or full consent of the will.

1. The persons who are occasions of sin are all those in whose company we sin, whether they be bad of themselves or bad only while in our company, in which case we also become occasions of sin for them;
