What about douching after marital relations? Is that a sin? Frankly, I find sex messy and smelly and since “coitus Interuptus” is a sin, would douching afterwards be a sin also? I wouldn’t mind abstaining, but convincing my husband to abstain is a different story. :confused:

My understanding is that it is not a sin if you are not doing it to contracept and if you leave enough reasonable time for the semen to go where it is supposed to go.
