I am so very weak, so weak I’ve asked God to take me so I can be with Him. I know only God is love. I am not suicidal, I just am suffering so poorly.

Have I sinned by saying this to God?

Being ready to depart isn’t necessarily sinful; however, if you’re gravely or terminally ill I would suggest contacting your Parish Priest immediately.

Not at all a sin. I think all of us look forward to the day we meet Him.

However, if you are severely ill talk to your parish. They have a lot of resources that can help you get what you need to feel better.

Kay,

Think about getting professional help. Sounds like you are experiencing severe depression.

Again, the church can plug you into resources for help. No one wants you to suffer unnecessarily. You can receive spiritua lcounseling form the priest, or given information for therapy from orgs. like Catholic Community Services.

Hang in there, as someone who has struggled GREATLY with mental health (whether or not this is your particular issue) I can promise that although it takes a lot of hard work and advocating for yourself, it DOES get better!

Is it a sin? No, not necessarily. We will all suffer greatly in various ways during our lifetimes, so try praying for fortitude. And if you need help or support, seek it out.

Thank you everyone. Yes, I worry I am headed for serious depression, that scares me. I know I wasn’t despairing in his mercy but I worried I was presumptive by asking to to take me home.

Thank you so very much
