Is this a valid way to end the Mass?

Whenever I attend a certain 5PM Sunday Mass, there is a priest who ends the Mass by saying “The Mass never ends, we’ll see you in 167 or so hours”. Although not necessarily invalid, is it improper?
 
Hi,

Priests do not have the authority to change the Liturgy to suit themselves in that way. The Liturgy is not the priest’s private property.
