I attended mass at my new parish and i noticed a few things
First I didn’t notice anyone kneeling and blessing them selfs before entering thier pews
Also The text of the readings during mass varied differntly form the
missal I also noticed that hardly anyone kneeled for the Consecration .and people wore all
Over the place pew to pew giving a sign of peace and during the lords prayer
most people wore holding hands from one side of the church to the other
Is this common in other Parish’s?

I’m new to this parish so I don’t know if right of me to question these things or not

Not in my parish, but I have been to parishes where the congregation holds hands during the Our Father.

When you say that the text in the readings varied, do you mean that certain words were changed or that the readings were completely different?

I just emailed them asking about these thing hopfully i dont cause offence I’m just curious about why …

Genuflecting to reverence the blessed sacrament before entering the pew would not be done if the tabernacle were in a separate chapel. Reverence of that altar would not be a genuflection but rather a bow. So, the first thing I would look at is the location of the tabernacle in that church building.

Today’s readings happened to have two versions for the Epistle and the Gospel-- short and long versions.
I also noticed that hardly anyone kneeled for the Consecration .
Without knowing more, I don’t feel I can comment. But, we should kneel for the consecration so that would be something I’d inquire about.

That varies substantially from place to place.

Also at The vigil mass I attended Saturday in the rectory chapel the priest
Invited everyone to stand around the altar during Consecration which is
something I’ve never heard of before.

With kneeling, I have known some people who have medical reasons which stop them from kneeling, could this account for some of it?

Could be. I can kneel but getting up is something I would not wish anyone to see…

In some traditions eg orthodox? standing is a sign of deep reverence,

Good that you are asking!!
