Hello everyone,
Recently I participated on a thread regarding a discussion about a Muslim’s experience. In his story the Muslim man says that he read the Koran every day and at some point would reach the state of repeating certain words in the Koran which are believed to give ‘power’ to the person. He said that he was gaining more and more ‘power’ by doing this and people would go to him and ask for his assistance. An example he mentioned is that a person could be having a problem with another person and he would do something and the person would have an accident.
This seems to me a little like witchcraft or satanism. I don’t think that God would give power to someone to go and hurt someone else or to get vengeance. In the comments to the video Muslims have wish he die etc…but no one has objected to his claim. It sounds like santeria, vodoo or witchcraft.
Is this in harmony with Muslim theology?
