Ok, this may be a really stupid question but is it ok to ask for a rosary to be blessed either today (Good Friday) or tomorrow (Holy Saturday)?
It is not prohibited. You may want to keep in mind that the clergy will be pressed for time but most would try to honor your request.Ok, this may be a really stupid question but is it ok to ask for a rosary to be blessed either today (Good Friday) or tomorrow (Holy Saturday)?
I realize you tease, but the power of sanctification which the ordained possess is not suspended during the Triduum.naw – all such powers are suspended those days:whacky: :whacky:![]()
Father is actually hearing confessions right now for the candidates who are to be confirmed tonight. Some of them were a little late in doing their first confession. Most parishes will post an announcement that “In accord with ancient custom confessions are not heard on these days.” I have never figured how that fits with Pope John Paul II, and other popes I think, spending several hours hearing confessions on Good Friday.![]()
