Is this presumption?

Is saying “I can wait to get to heaven” presumption? When I was looking at a crucifix, I said “I can’t wait to see you in heaven”, was this presumption? If someone was on a road trip from Miami to Boston, couldn’t they say “I can’t wait to get there”? I use that analogy, I thought it would make sense, Miami represents Earth, Boston represents Heaven. You need to stay on the right road to get there.

Sounds more like a devout prayer to me! We are all supposed to be striving towards Heaven, but our natural human instincts (unless ill etc) is to say “Not yet please Lord!”.
God bless you 🙂

Let’s just look at it this way: Should we be hoping for hell? And how would we increase our chances of getting to heaven if we focused on hell or earth only?

If you are holy, then it is similar to what St. Therese of Liseux said when she said:

“When I die, I will send down a shower of roses from the heavens,I will spend my heaven by doing good on earth.”
― Thérèse de Lisieux

Not presumption at all. I would rather class it as an expression of the hope we must rightfully maintain! 👍

Blessings in Christ,
