In 2 Thessalonians 2.1-4 it reads
1 Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him,
2 That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand.
3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;
4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.

In the context of the Ireland, UK, Australia etc and now the Pennsylvania scandals where verse 4 could be an apt description of a member of the clergy abusing his position, could this be the beginning of the “Tribulation”?

In the book of Daniel, Daniel gives two numbers: 1290 days followed by1335 days. Add them together and you get 2625 days. If a prophetic day is a year, that makes 2625 years.
The latest date in Daniel is the third year of the reign of King Jehoiakim which is 606-7 BCE.
2625 years after 606-7 BCE is… 2018-19 AD.

Further, Pennsylvania is simultaneously experiencing major flash floods “as in the days of Noah”.

There is also the Malachy prophecy where Petrus Romanus is the last Pope. Petrus is rock (from the earth). Jorge means “earth worker”. Romanus means “of the Roman Empire”. Bergoglio is a village in Northern Italy.

We seem to be at a prophetic focal point.

What do you think?

The “Malachi prophecy” is unapproved private revelation, and it is against the TOS of this forum to discuss it here.

As for the rest, we get somebody just about every 2 days who has just read something or watched something on Youtube and thinks this is the end times.

Pennsylvania has been having flash floods off and on since Noah walked the earth. It’s called “geography” and “weather”.

Your entire post is just a lot of idle speculation as we do not know the day and the hour, and the times we are living through are no worse than dozens of other times humanity already lived through. You’d be better off focusing on how you’re going to love and serve God and your neighbor today than wasting time on this dreck.

The Malachy “prophecy” has been debunked numerous times. He’s specific for all Popes prior to his time, but then get’s really vague. Many of the so-called connections to modern popes are tenuous at best.

As for this being the tribulation, maybe. Who knows? Only God. If it is, then we should definitely get ourselves ready for eternity. If it isn’t, then we should definitely get ourselves ready for eternity.

I second what the two above posters have said. Either way, we should always be prepared to die and not just when the End Times arrives. So even if the End Times comes, so what?

I didn’t say this was the End Times. I was talking about the Tribulation. There could be thousands of years between the two.

Not only are the Malachy prophecies not approved by the Church but the Church considers them to be forgeries.

The beast of Revelation is already at work, and your seeing all her wicked deeds and many more are coming to light!!!

Babylon, the Prostitute on the Beast

Revelation 17 One of the seven angels who had the seven bowls came and said to me, “Come, I will show you the punishment of the great prostitute, who sits by many waters. 2 With her the kings of the earth committed adultery, and the inhabitants of the earth were intoxicated with the wine of her adulteries.”

3 Then the angel carried me away in the Spiritinto a wilderness. There I saw a woman sitting on a scarlet beast that was covered with blasphemous names and had seven heads and ten horns. 4 The woman was dressed in purple and scarlet, and was glittering with gold, precious stones and pearls. She held a golden cup in her hand, filled with abominable things and the filth of her adulteries. 5 The name written on her forehead was a mystery:

babylon the great

the mother of prostitutes

and of the abominations of the earth.

6 I saw that the woman was drunk with the blood of God’s holy people, the blood of those who bore testimony to Jesus.
