Is trading goods or using money to buy things a form of sharing?

Or do you consider sharing to be more along the lines of giving away what you have without really expecting anything in return?

That’s a business transaction.

Or do you consider sharing to be more along the lines of giving away what you have without really expecting anything in return?

That sounds like Charity to me.

I think most people would agree with this definition

SHARING: to use, occupy, or enjoy (something) jointly with another or others.

That’s a business transaction.

But a business transaction does not preclude the possibility that the fruits of the transaction will be used, occupied, or enjoyed jointly with the parties to the transaction and perhaps others.
