The Hebrew word BA AL can be translated as husband , owner , lord, or baal. This is such a huge topic, Old Testament language and imagery and why some of it was chosen.
Elohim can also be translated as gods, and refer to the different pagan gods of the times.
Hebrew words can mean several different things and context is incredibly important as is cultural significance.
