How does the Catholic Church interrupt Isaiah 17:1?

I was watching a news video on Youtube about a bomb attack in Damascus (If you want the link just ask) and many comments are posting Isaiah 17:1 about the destruction of Damascus.

What does the Church say about this quote? It is really prophecy to end times or is that not what the Church teaches?
 
The Church does not give an interpretation for every verse in the Bible. Why should it? In fact there are only about 7 verses in the entire Bible that the Church has officially interpreted and the verse you quote is not one of them.

That verse is talking about Damascus when it was destroyed in 732 BC!

Neither we nor the Church know when the end of times will be.
