Hello,

I’m been a Catholic convert for 13 years now. My previous church was a fundamental Baptist. Every once in a while I have a “hang-up” with Catholic beliefs. I’m concerned with the commandment of not bowing to statues. The passage in Deuteronomy says, “you shall not bow down before them OR worship them.” I understand that we don’t worship statues but how can the simple act of bowing before them be justified?

Sincerely,

Jeff
