…and perhaps you misread it, or perhaps some angry and disobedient traditionalist made it up or misunderstood what they heard…
Nope. It was announced by our priest-in-charge from the pulpit and listed in the bulletin.

(He dropped the title “Pastor” in favor of “Administrator”, which I simply refuse to use. So I call him the priest-in-charge.)

I’m not trying to be critical, but it is beyond me why you consent to remain in this parish. It sounds like that quasi-Christian semi-paganistic New Age coven named after Joan of Arc in Minneapolis.

I mean, if they want to be Catholic, then be Catholic; if they want to be Druid, then be Druid, but pick one.

:crying: Why are things like this happening? Why?

Its not a parish issue. Its Church issue. I think the problem is twofold; 1) the deeply rooted progressive mentality in our seminary faculties, and 2) the “selling” of faith and church attendance with inappropriate secular marketing techniques; events, prizes, special attention. Some one’s teaching our priests that this is really the way to run a parish.

I take you are not having a traditional vigil mass? Or did the halloween mass pre-empt it?

Me I’ll begoing to mass on Halloween as a Reader. Which reminds me that I should practise both reading and the the reposorial psalm.

The All Souls Day vigil and mass are on the 31st, Tuesday. The Halloween mass is to be on either Saturday or Sunday, I didn’t pay attention. Our Sunday 9AM mass is the normal “Children’s Mass”. We usually go to at different time, but I’m curious…

"C’mon----would I lead anybody astray?

Trust me!"
