Italian translation help (Pope John XXIII, Humanae Salutis)

With the Apostolic Constitution Humanae Salutis, Pope John XXIII called the Second Vatican Council. Towards the end of the document (#22), there’s a sentence than reads:

Finalmente, chiediamo vivamente a tutti i cristiani che dissentono dalla Chiesa cattolica di supplicare Dio, perché il Concilio tornerà anche a loro vantaggio.

I ran this through Google’s translator, but I’m not entirely sure it got it right, so I was wondering if any Italian-speaking Catholics here could render it in English for me.

I believe it says something to the effect of:

Finally, we ask all Christians alive who dissent from the Catholic Church to call on God, because reconciling is for their benefit.

That’s a combination of my translation skills and a couple different online dictionaries. 🙂

Is il Concilio “reconciliation” or rather “this Council”?

In other words, is he saying that the Second Vatican Council is being convoked also for their benefit to reconcile them back to the Church? (Obviously not by changing the teachings, as he makes clear in so many other documents, but simply that reunification of Christians in the Catholic Church is one goal of the Council.)

Oh, geez, why didn’t I think of that? The Vatican does have the Latin text as well:

Extremum christianos omnes qui a catholica Ecclesia dissident enixe rogamus, ut Deo supplicent: nam ad eorum etiam fructum Concilium redundabit.

I’m not sure I fully grasp some of the grammar here (Extremum is a singular adjective in the superlative; eorum is “of them”, but why is it there?) but I think the gist of it is:

“We most earnestly ask all Christian who are separated from [dissent from/disagree with] the Catholic Church, that they would beseech God: for to them ad eorum ?] also the Council will produce much fruit.”
