As a youth minister, I know full well the importance of needing permission forms for everything…permission to play in a sport, permission to take on a field trip,permission to take publicity pictures that may be printed or not…and the list is dramatic…including thepermission to take a child to be treated in case of emergency…or give an over the counter remedy, like cough lozenges, antacids, antipyretics…like aspirin or acetaminophen…but for a child to get birth control pills or an abortion…they are emancipated and the parent does not even have to be notified. Go figure!!
