Hi all, our adoptoin of Malachi is now official and legally done. Whew!

Yesterday the magistrate just had to ask our older son what he thought of his new brother. The response was, “He’s OK.”

How is that for enthusiasm?😉

Thanks to all for your prayers that got us to this point. Now we just have to keep on keepin’ on.

Congratulations!!! If I lived closer, I’d bring a bunch of presents, hugs, and a yummy dinner!!! (well, as yummy as I could make it!:o )

God is good…what a blessing for you and your family. :clapping: If you are having a BBQ, can I come??? I make a wicked potato salad that my 100+ people in the family just rave about. I make 15 pounds of it at a time…:eek:

Can I hold your little one…I’ll even change the diapers! :dancing:

Hey come on over! The water garden is just brimming with water lilies and lotus flowers right now. We were on a garden tour last week and so the beds and the deck are in fine shape. 👍

Shoshana I would love to have your potato salad recipe. I need a good one and making up more than I need, well, it just means that I can share it with others. PM me or just post it here. Please, I need a good recipe for potato salad – really.:yup:

Frankly, I would love to have this internet family over – we went out to dinner to celebrate, but a big shindig would be great. When can you make it to Cincinnati?

I did also get dinner out tonight – it was in lieu of a big birthday party for my older son. We had his best friend from school over (as well as his mom and younger brother) and we went to the pool and amusement park and then dinner.

Tomorrow is his actual birthday so we will have some family over and then go out to dinner again! woo hoo!

At the amusement park, the dart game had pictures of our late, great Holy Father among the pictures that one could win as a prize. I thanked the guy working the booth for those. He said it was his honor to have them. Wow! Catholics in the world – happy Catholics!

Careful… I wouldn’t necessarily trust him… he flatters nicely though!
 
One of the best Christmas presents I ever got was a written promise to not complain about any meal in the coming year.

We were hitting a tough spot financially, but when I would cook the budget meals I used to get complaints. When I asked him if he wanted budget meals or to move to a smaller house, he came up with the idea.

It was a financially inexpensive gift, but what a wonderful gift it was to me. He has pretty much continued to not complain, too.
