Shall we pray the Stations of the Cross? (15 station version). Thank you. I will give the 1st station, then someone else add the 2nd station, and so on.
Bless you all. Peace be with you.
*** In the name of the Father, the Son, and Holy Spirit:***
**The First Station:
Jesus is Condemned to Die**
*We adore you, O Christ, and we bless you. *
Because by your holy cross you have redeemed the world.
Reading:
(John 19:13 - 16)
13: When Pilate heard these words, he brought Jesus out and sat down on the judgment seat at a place called The Pavement, and in Hebrew, Gab’batha.
14: Now it was the day of Preparation of the Passover; it was about the sixth hour. He said to the Jews, “Behold your King!”
15: They cried out, “Away with him, away with him, crucify him!” Pilate said to them, “Shall I crucify your King?” The chief priests answered, “We have no king but Caesar.”
16: Then he handed him over to them to be crucified.
Our Father (The Lord’s Prayer)
Our Father, Who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name; Thy kingdom come; Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. Amen.
Hail Mary
Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee; blessed are thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen. Glory Be
Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit.
As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.
Hymn: Stabat Mater, verse 5
Is there one who would not weep,
Whelm’d in miseries so deep
Christ’s dear Mother to behold?
Bless you all. Peace be with you.
