I know my faith journey is bearing fruit in part because I am so excited about Holy Week.

I got a bad cold last Thursday and on Saturday and Sunday was lying in bed both days and did not attend Mass. I really missed being with God. That is the first time I have missed in a year I think.

As one who was totally lost just a few years ago, I feel so excited to attend the Thursday Mass and the Friday service, and be the sponsor to my husband who will come into the Church at the Easter Vigil on Saturday. 🙂

I have found myself thinking about Jesus so much in the past few days and what he went through. It is finally dawning on me what Jesus did and it’s amazing to think what he did for all of us. My faith is growing. Slowly, but I am looking forward to growing more spiritually each day.

I’m looking forward to the Easter Vigil myself. I’m not sure if I’ll be able to go to Holy Thursday or Good Friday services. It all depends on if I can get a ride. My usual ride said he wasn’t sure he would go. I know I could probably walk over, but don’t want to walk home in the dark!! Besides, Jack, my ride, would have a fit if I were to bring it up.

It IS such a hauntingly beautiful time, isn’t it? I’m coming into the Church, too, on Saturday and it will change my life for eternity. Thanks be to You, Lord Jesus Christ.

Welcome Home! to all of you!!

We will not be attending the vigil this year, but I’ll remember you on Easter Sunday monring!

We are attending Holy Thursday and Holy Friday but are sitting out the Vigil because its a long drive home at 2:00am. (another 2 1/2 hours). Did it the last two years but not this year. Solemn High Masses throughout except for Friday. Then its off to a low Mass on Easter day. 👍

This is my first Holy Week and I am extremely excited as well!
I plan on doing the Maundy Thursday Mass, the Holy Friday stations of the Cross, and Easter Vigil Sat night and Sunday Morning Mass. 😃

I can’t wait!!

Peace,

I’ll be spending time with my family praying and attending holy mass this Holy Week.
