I know it’s September, because Walmart already has Christmas trees.

Yep. I was in the gardening section yesterday, and there were about four or five Christmas trees. The dude was unloading them.

Wow! Unbelievable! I was surprised to see displays of corn candy the end of July!
I have to admit I bought two bags in August.
I haven’t bought a Christmas tree yet though.

You get real Christmas trees? They’re so much work, too many needles to have to constantly clean up. I just use a fake plastic tree.

I live in a Pine Forest, but the Pines that are here are endangered, and much taller than my house so I can’t cut them down. It’s actually a mixed forest, but a lot of the trees are Pines so, if I wanted to I could just go outside and string up some lights and get some bulbs and what not.

The trees being unloaded and displayed in Walmart are artificial. You know, in boxes, often with lights already attached.

I hardly ever go into Walmart, but I did yesterday - they already had a Christmas section set up. 😠

My sister and I have had a rule. No Christmas shopping until after Thanksgiving. It is getting increasingly difficult to follow that, since around that time all the Christmas stuff is coming down. It is already being overrun by the Valentines items after Thanksgiving. Sigh.

Blessings,
Stephie

I almost never have a Christmas tree. Too much work, take up too much space in my cramped apartment (where would I put my yarn and knitting projects?) and too tempting for my cat.

This year I purchased a felt Christmas tree kit that I will assemble sometime during Advent. I forgot my Advent wreath last year but will try to get it out this year.

As for Christmas shopping, I don’t do much of it anyway. I try to make my Christmas gifts and that takes all year long.
