–the 1988 BBC production of The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe.

We were living in England when it first was broadcast, and we taped it, but it was PAL system, and our multisystem VCR eventually died. We really liked it, and had thought we’d never see it again, but…

…guess what I found in the sale bin at the Shrine of the Most Blessed Sacrament bookstore…along with The Silver Chair and Voyage of the Dawntreader :dancing: :clapping:

I’ve been wanting to rent this from the video store, but I keep forgetting until I get back home again. BBC has some awesome movies. I wish stations in the US would make good shows like this.

Are these tapes? You can also get the DVDs quite easily at Ignatius Press. Just scroll down a bit.

I got these from the library…they are great! My kids love them.

Actually the BBC Narnia videos were released in the USA on DVD years ago; I’ve had my copy since at least 2003. I agree that they are wonderful treatments of the books, and LWW is much more faithful to the book than the recent disney/Walden Media film was.

They were, in fact, DVDs.
