Does anyone here have trouble remembering right away the history of proclaimed truths? I often pray that what I’m hearing (and reading) will stick. Sometimes it does.
Today’s homily, the priest explained the heresy of Nestorianism, then, in a way that feels engraved in my heart, the two natures of Christ, the oneness of God, the Theotokos.

Today’s my birthday. I take great pleasure that many people have an obligation (and many others do anyway!) 😃 to attend mass on my birthday. Bless you.

LOL Happy birthday! Today is our anniversary.
I sent birthday wishes to two member, and they both said to me that Jan 1 is the default birthday if you don’t indicate one, LOL
Glad to hear it’s truly you big day!

Thank you for the birthday wishes and Happy Anniversary to you.

Could be a new topic: anniversaries on Our Lady’s feast days. Mine is Holy Rosary btw.

I do like the scripture that comes around on this date, the blessing from the Old Testament: May the Lord bless you and keep you …

It reminds me of the old French custom of seeking out the oldest person in the family gathering to receive the New Year’s blessing. I see the Filipino community at church do the same every Sunday. Beautiful.
