seems to me that anderson the lawyer who is out to sue the vatican on child abuse scandal is akin to modern saul… sue and persecute tthe vatican and the pope at all cost…

while his past and present cases behind may be legitimate and genuine?? ultimately his intention i suspect could be this…

a) honored to be 1st to sue the vatican and the pope… therefore in future all molest or abuse cases… u know who to call … that’s right.,. mr andeson… can get all the credit and fame…

b) get all the money he wants millions and millions out of it… how ironic when he says “it’s not the money” then what?? fame?? power??

rememeber when the devil tempt jesus… “i give u the kingdoms of the world if you bow down and worship me” so unknowingly or knowinly he could be seduced by the enemy

pls pray for mr. jeff anderson…

As a law student who is in contact with many issue lawyers, I recognize that there is a third possible motivation for Mr. Anderson: He really wants to help the victims of rape and molestation who have suffered many decades in silence. I do not think that we can impute evil motivations on his part, especially in speculation. To be honest, if a client had come to me claiming to have been raped by a priest who was left unpunished, I would take their case and sue those who violated their duty to the child.

All Anderson is doing is normal personal injury litigation suing for damages for tort victims. Like many, he specializes. Nothing unusual here.

By all means, let’s get the “Lawyers” involved, dozens and dozens of them. Such a noble and magnanimous group, pure of motive and intent…chaste and glorious before the bar! We now have the sleazy, trough-slurping media exploiting a tragedy, why not add the rapacious hyenas who practice the law into the mix…and while we are at it we can have the politicians become invloved, creating a triumvirate of stonethrowers whose joint hipocracy might overshadow the very crimes they claim to be so concerned about.

Certainly, bring out all of “the usual suspects”, all of the cultural grotesques. Righteous indignation is an ample mask behind which malevolent self-interest is easily hidden. Surely, all of these forces are motivated by pure and noble empathy for the victims. Nonsense! Let the lawyers bring in their own brand of “theater of the macabre”. We must all just watch and wait as all of the serpentine classes come out from the shadows.

Meanwhile, the faithful pray and trust in the only truly clean things this world has ever known: Jesus Christ and His Mother Mary. Just typing Their names gives me hope.

Well…since the law was broken, it makes sense to bring in lawyers. The stereotyping of an entire profession is shameful, especially when so many lawyers are motivated by a desire for justice. What would you have those raped by a priest do after the Church refused to deal with the priest? Should they stop their complaints and go home and pray???
