The best way, in my experience, to get rid of JW’s, is to be nice to them, and then offer them some Catholic literature in exchange for theirs. I’ve never found one yet that would accept ours. We have a family of them living just down the street. Offering them our literature has the same effect as pointing a loaded gun at them.
 
If you are Catholic, tell them you are Catholic. If you are Protestant, tell them you are catholic anyway. It gets rid of them all the time. 👍

It helps if you know some Latin.😉
 
Just tell them you’ll ask Virgin Mary to pray for them, or that you’ll pray a rosary for them… they’ll run away fast! 😃
 
answer the door with your rosary in your hands and say the last half of the Hail Mary!
 
I grew up JW, and I gotta tell ya all that telling JW’s at your door you’re Catholic is no deterrent at all. It is a stimulus. JW’s focus their evangelical training to meet all objections from every angle; especially Catholic ones.

And for this reason my wife and I started an apostolate by the grace of God to help our JW friends and relatives come home to the Catholic Church AND to help our Catholic friends share the Gospel with their JW friends and relatives.

It depends how you define LOVE…the ones i have met seem to have a patronising view of other faiths , especially catholics. Real love and compassion has not been my experience. I find them rather boring as they pump out their pre-learned jargon…but the cherry on the cake is they are forbidden to even accept any literature from any one ; EXCEPT literature printed by the WATCHTOWER SOCIETY ?! Why should anyone entertain people who will not listen to your point of view ? Recommended reading : HELD BY THE WATCHTOWER-SET FREE BY CHRIST…BY SUSAN THORNE. By the way from what i have said can it be assumed that JW’S will not be commenting on any posts…such a shame since they will be deprived of learning from others.:mad:
 
Funny thing, since seeing this post I have had three more visits from the JW’s. One was the a/c repair man I accidently insulted. Must be a busy time for them because of Easter or something. 🤷 He joked around with me when repairing my central heat and air that he would keyhole witness if no one answered and he saw movement. I was very still! 😃 .

They don’t celebrate Easter, it was because they were getting ready to Celebrate the “Memorial”…the passover…and they want as many people to attend as possible so they can report how many more went this year than last year.
I do not think so. I have even been to funerals where the elder really makes the funeral talk into a recruitment speech with tracts available and everything. In addition, it is quite common for this to be done by their pioneer ministers since they can count their time spent in writing the letters in their monthly report to their congregation elders.

My experience has been that every single event like this, funeral or wedding, was a recruitment speech.
