Is the Jehovah’s bible written so that people are not able to see how clear the diety of Christ is? I came across these verses in the watchtower bible.

Mathew 2:2 “For we saw his star [when we were] in the east, and we have come to do him obeisance”

The NIV says and asked, “Where is the one who has been born king of the Jews? We saw his star in the east and have come to worship him.”

The watch tower bible says “Then he said: “I do put faith [in him], Lord.” And he did obeisance to him”

The NIV says “Then the man said, “Lord, I believe,” and he worshiped him.”

The Watch tower bible says in Matthew 14:33 “Then those in the boat did obeisance to him, saying: “You are really God’s Son”

The NIV says "Then those who were in the boat worshiped him, saying, “Truly you are the Son of God.”

John 8:58 says Jesus said to them: “Most truly I say to YOU, Before Abraham came into existence, I have been.” This is in the Watchtower bible.

In the NIV instead of “I have been” it says “I am”.

obeisance means to respect so it is different then worship. So, is the Watchtower bible a better translation or is it written to make Jesus not look like a diety ?

There translation is poor. It is written to support their theology.

The Watchtower “Bible” was very deliberately contrived to support their views. It is full of errors and mistranslations and should be avoided at all cost.

This summarizes it well ( towerwatch.com/Witnesses/New_World_Translation/new_world_translation.htm )
The New World Translation
The New World Translation of the Bible is Jehovah’s Witnesses own translation, no other religious group uses this Bible and Jehovah’s Witnesses make very little use of other Bibles.

The translators of The New World Translation were: Nathan Knorr, Albert Schroeder, George Gangas, Fred Franz, M. Henschel

“Fred Franz was the only one with any knowledge of the Bible languages to attempt translation of this kind. He had studied Greek for two years in the University of Cincinnati but was only self-taught in Hebrew.” “Crisis of Conscience”; by Raymond Franz; Commentary Press, Atlanta; 1983 edition; footnote 15; page 50.]

Four out of the five men on the committee had no Hebrew or Greek training at all, and only a high school education. Franz studied Greek for two years at the University of Cincinnati, but dropped out after his sophomore year. When asked in a Scotland courtroom if he could translate Genesis 2:4 into Hebrew, Franz replied that he could not. The truth is that Franz was unable to translate Hebrew or Greek.

What we have is a very inexperienced translating committee that twisted Scripture to make it fit the Society’s doctrine.

This was also interesting.

Don’t forget how every time they are caught in a failed prediction(so-called mistranslation), they chalk it up to a change in understanding or “light getting brighter”.
