** Jeremiah 10:2

Thus says the LORD, "Do not learn the way of the nations, And do not be terrified by the signs of the heavens Although the nations are terrified by them**

Im curious what is meant by Do not learn the way of the nations?

Usually when you see the word “nations,” this translates the Hebrew “goyim,” the term usually used for peoples outside of the people of Israel. Another translation would be “gentiles.” What it means here and in most of the Old Testament is that God’s people are not to practice the pagan ways of the peoples around them but to stay faithful to his covenant.

Agreed, this seems to be the Literal Sense.

The Spiritual Sense, especially the Anagogical seems to tell us that if we do not hang on worldly entrapments, there is nothing to fear, even the events to come in end times, because what we will experience in the New Jerusalem will be so glorious that the misery of the former world will be forgotten.
