What are folks’ opinions on these. I am thinking of getting one but not sure which version to buy. I want minimal inclusive language/loose translations. Thanks!

The 1966 Jerusalem Bible was recommended by 2 priests I respect. In part for the footnotes. It is only available new from 1 publisher and that is the edition with abridged footnotes. The full edition of the 1966 is only available used.

I had the new edition of the Old Jerusalem Bible. We didn’t jive. 
I sought out the Knox version (you can take away the King James version but you can’t take away the need for it all to sound “pretty”).

You have to buy the 1966 JB. It has no inclusive language, progressive drivel, or any liberal footnotes that might make you ask “am I reading the Hans Kung biography?” rather than the Gospels.
Now mind you, you can get a version with the Grail Psalms instead, but quite frankly, that’s inclusive and we can’t have any of that. It distorts the Psalms. However, it is useful if your Parish uses them.
