You’re simply wrong about that. The fact that you were not aware of the existence of Jesuit-style cassocks in no way changes the fact that they do indeed exist. They have existed for a very long time.We weren’t confused at all, though it sounds as though you might be. There is no Jesuit style cassock, because the Jesuits wear whatever is the garb of a priest in good standing. Plenty of non-Jesuits have worn the cassock that you are looking for before any Jesuit wore it.
Further, the fact that Jesuit-style cassocks do indeed exist, in no way makes them a Jesuit “habit.” Only you are trying to equate the two. I hope you see your error in reasoning.
Jesuit-style cassocks are not commonly worn today which is likely the reason you did not know they exist. While I had heard about them for years I had never seen one worn by a Jesuit until Fr. Mitch Pacwa wore one on EWTN.
