Jesus and Guardian Angel

Sorry if this is in the wrong thread but I was wondering if Jesus had a Guardian Angel. I thought that maybe, since He was man, He might but I had never heard of it ever meantioned before so I wanted to know if anyone else knows.

Good question. There is the time where he wept in the Garden of Gethsemenae [Yes I know I butchered it, but I packed my bible away and don’t want to unpack it just to find out how to spell this word correctly.] and an angel of the Lord came to comfort him. The Angels sang in exulation when he was born. I recall that Jesus said that he could call on the angels to defend Him from what was going on when he was arrested in the Garden, [of course it is early in the morning and I have not slept all night].

#331 Christ is the centre of the angelic world. They are his angels: "When the Son of man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him. . " They belong to him because they were created through and for him: “for in him all things were created in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or authorities - all things were created through him and for him.” They belong to him still more because he has made them messengers of his saving plan: “Are they not all ministering spirits sent forth to serve, for the sake of those who are to obtain salvation?”

#333 From the Incarnation to the Ascension, the life of the Word incarnate is surrounded by the adoration and service of angels. When God “brings the firstborn into the world, he says: ‘Let all God’s angels worship him.’” Their song of praise at the birth of Christ has not ceased resounding in the Church’s praise: “Glory to God in the highest!” They protect Jesus in his infancy, serve him in the desert, strengthen him in his agony in the garden, when he could have been saved by them from the hands of his enemies as Israel had been. Again, it is the angels who “evangelize” by proclaiming the Good News of Christ’s Incarnation and Resurrection. They will be present at Christ’s return, which they will announce, to serve at his judgement.

The Church teaches that a guardian angel is assigned to everyone, this is mentioned in the Catholic Catechism of the Catholic Church but this is an interesting question to be sure. No ones knows.

#336 From its beginning until death, human life is surrounded by their watchful care and intercession. “Beside each believer stands an angel as protector and shepherd leading him to life.” Already here on earth the Christian life shares by faith in the blessed company of angels and men united in God.

Jesus created the angels out of love and for love. The Angels I am sure watched very carefully over Jesus and interceeded for Him and strengthened and comforted him very much.

I cannot really answer the question, but it indicates that Jesus did have the angels watching over him. What a privaledge that must have been for the angels, to watch and guard over their Creator.

I am happy to have been of assistance to you. Your question got me to thinking about my guardian angel and about how God loves us so much that he would assigns angels to watch over us. My heart was consoled by the fact that God is always ever present to us and our guardian angel is always watching over us and praying for us.
