Suppose (God Forbid) one becomes Blind and Deaf in the literalist sense, cannot see, cannot hear?
How does He/she persevere and “nourrish” their faith in order to maintain and perfect (as Paul often refers to it) their faith as a Christian.
In the Protestant Church? (prayer maybe)
In the Catholic Church? (Eucharist yes) -and prayer maybe)
It then occured to me that Taste/Eat IS THE ONLY SENSE that could result in BOTH SPIRITUAL (lack of Eucharist) AND PHYSICAL DEATH (lack of bread-). Conversely it opens the way for all the other ones. Thus one cannot see if they are dead whether spiritually or physically?
Depriving ourselves from all the other ones (seeing, touching, hearing, smelling will not result in physical death, and should not result in SPIRITUAL DEATH. Jesus countered that with the Eucharist.
Theology of the senses? maybe
Will this be a valid apologetic approach for JOHN 6? And the reason why We are catholic?
