Is Jesus a divine and human being or a divine being, only?
Others have answered. I want to point out that if you had read your Catechism, you would have found the answer. So, read your Catechism. LinusIs Jesus a divine and human being or a divine being, only?
Jesus is the Word of God from everlasting who physically took on human nature and lived, walked, and talked with His creation. As the Bible says, “IN the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God” (John 1:1); and also, “And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we saw his glory, the glory as it were of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth” (John 1:14). Since the Personhood of Jesus was from everlasting with God the Father and with the Holy Spirit, and since the Word (Jesus) is God and became flesh, the Person of Jesus has both a divine and human nature. Is Jesus a divine and human being or a divine being, only?
