Jesus Christ is God, specifically the Second Person of the Holy Trinity, made Man. He is “eternally begotten of the Father, God from God, Light from Light, True God from True God, begotten, not made.”

He was made Man in the womb of the Blessed Virgin Mary and was born in Bethelem in Judea. He is the center of the Christian faithful’s world, and we Catholics adore and worship Him.

We believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ, the only Son of God the Father.
Eternally begotten of the Father: God from God, light from light, true God from true God. He is begotten - not made - and he is one in being with God the Father. Through him all things were made.
For all men and their salvation to eternal life in God, he came to the earth and was born of a virgin named Mary. He lived a sinless, holy life which he sacrificed on our behalf to atone for the sins against God of the entire world. By uniting ourselves spiritually with him we can enter into eternal life which is the ultimate fulfillment of humanity and the completion of God’s will.
How do we do it?
By loving God with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength and by loving one another as we love ourselves.
