what are the glad tidings about Jesus in OT. How many?

and how do Jews today interpret them ? why do they say he is not the Messiah, is there certain characteristics they think not to be applicable on Jesus ?

Judaism does not believe “Moshiach” to be God, as our LORD claimed. They hold that Moshiach, when he comes, will be a standard-issue human being.

Also, if someone gets killed, he could not be the Moshiach, whom, they hold, will live a natural life and lead everybody back to the Law. Being killed and rising again is not part of that mission.

There are many of them, and what some see as prophecies others do not.

Genesis 3:15 is considered the first announcement of the coming Messiah. Isaiah 52:13-53:12 is one that Christians see most clearly, yet Jews feel is not fulfilled in Christ.

One of the reasons that Jesus is not the Jewish Messiah (in their eyes) is that he was crucified on a cross (“cursed is the man who is hung on wood”) and another is that Jesus was not exactly what they were expecting. They were wanting a Jewish reincarnation of Alexander the Great, not a humble servant who would die for their sins.

Thanks.

so, How many may be considered glad tidings ?

If anyone knows, please tell us verses.
