LOL ok silly girl!!! I’m glad you are feeling well today!
Down in adoration falling,
Lo! the sacred Host we hail;
Lo! o’er ancient forms departing,
Newer rites of grace prevail;
Faith for all defects supplying,
Where the feeble senses fail.
To the everlasting Father,
And the Son who reigns on high,
With the Holy Ghost proceeding
Forth from each eternally,
Be salvation, honor, blessing,
Might and endless majesty. Amen.

God joined to His creation, become His creation, so that He might save His creation. The Highest of the High become the lowest of the low out of love.

And to think that many believe that Christianity is somehow depressing! :eek:

Jesus is both God and all human at the same time. He speaks as both man and God in several instances.

I thirst - man

Your sins are forgiven you - God

I know Paris is in RCIA so you will appreciate this. for our children’s RCIA on Saturday I have started a program for their parents during the same session, where we will show videos and have teaching on the creed, sacraments and commandments (in Spanish). After the video on the first part of the creed one parent, who has several Catholic children in our program besides her oldest unbaptized son, told the catechist ā€œI did not know that the Son of God was the same as Jesus, and that He is also God. Thank you for this video it was very helpfulā€. Well, yeah, I guess it was. We take basic teachings of our faith for granted and forget that for many they never got beyond ā€œlearning the prayersā€ as preparation for first communion.

Jesus is indeed True God and True Man, the Word Incarnate.
Here are some scriptures to look up incase you want to see
for yourself, but you may already have. I will post them incase
others have not read them:

Mt. 28:19, Jn 14: 26 and 15: 26, 2 Cor 13: 14 and 1 Pe 1:2.
Jn 1: 1-2, 14 and 18,
Jn 3: 3, 5, 7, 15 - 16
Jn 5: 18
Jn 6: 29
Jn 14: 6 - 10, 16 - 17
Hebrews 10: 15 - 18
1 Pe 3: 18 - 19
1 Jn 5: 20 and 6 - 8

You forgot Matthew 1:23, which identifies Jesus as Emmanuel - meaning ā€˜God with us’.

At work I was sitting down at lunch time with 3-born and raised Catholics, 2- born and raised Lutherns, 1- born and raised Baptist and 1-born and raised ā€œOnenessā€ Pentecostal (No, this is NOT the beginning of a joke šŸ™‚ ).

I work in construction and another born and raised Catholic and I were talking about what Jesus said, for he had questioned, ā€œwho said that?ā€ I said, ā€œJesus said it … GODā€. And he said Jesus is not God! I laughed at first thinking he was joking. Then I found out he WASN’T. And the 6/7 sitting there all said, ā€œyea, Jesus is not God, he is God’s sonā€ :eek:! I could not believe what I was hearing. I was bothered for like 2 days. So, I went on to explain with he best of my ability, the Nature of God, the Trinity, using Scripture, etc… I believe many if not all came to believe … (again?). Thanks be to God.

FYI- the 1/ 7 who agreed Jesus IS God, was a ā€œnon-denominationalā€ former born and raised Luthern. The lone Baptist is a practicing Baptist and the others are mostly not practicing anything.

Bless you,

Joe
