If Jesus/God knew he was going to be resurected and return to God the Father then what was the true sacrifice?

Was it:
  1. Jesus’ humanity
  2. The actual suffering of the Passion itself
  3. That Jesus’ bore the weight of all our sins during the Passion
  4. All the above, none of the above, your opinion.
I have trouble pin pointing the myself and would like other’s opinions.

All of the above, plus he gave himself and all he owns to us all. His sacrifice is himself: body, blood, soul, and divinity. His sacrifice is also fully present within every part of the Eucharist in the signs of bread and wine. All of the 7 sacraments have something to do with his sacrifice.

God cannot in his own nature, suffer and die. The Second Person of the Trinity had to take on a human nature in order to do that.

Look at the consequences of sin. Because of Who sin offends–God himself–a sacrifice of infinite value is needed to atone for sin.

But because it is man that offends, man must atone. Jesus, as man, can atone for our sins. Because he also has the nature of God, his sacrifice is of infinite value.
