Jesus said that "no stone" would be left standing. What about the Wailing Wall?

**Matthew 24:1-2

1.Jesus left the Temple, and as he was going away his disciples came up to draw his attention to the Temple buildings.

2 He said to them in reply, 'You see all these? In truth I tell you, not a single stone here will be left on another: everything will be pulled down.**

Jesus said this in Matt. 24:2; Mark 13:2; Luke 19:44; Luke 21:6 that “no stone” of the Second Temple would be left upon another.** What about the Wailing Wall?**

The wailing wall is an outer retaining wall of the Temple Mount area. The Temple itself was completely destroyed by the Romans as Jesus predicted.

The Western Wall wasn’t part of the Temple itself. It’s a retaining wall used to expand the platform when the Temple was extended by Herod.

The Wall is the nearest physical remnant that existed at the time of the Temple. A terracing wall that was below the level of the now-vanished Temple, it was not part of the Temple itself.
