VATICAN CITY (CNS) – Jesus was a refugee – a fact that should be remembered as societies deal with modern issues of emigration and immigration, Pope Benedict XVI said.
The Holy Family would qualify for refugee/aslyee status under current US law, and probably under the United Nations Convention Relating to the Status of Refugees.
