My high school daughter’s, best friend’s father, (whew, that’s a mouth full) made a comment to her once (he’s Jewish) that she would never find in the bible where Jesus says that He is the Son of God. I see where he is called the Son of man and all but have never found a place that I can show her where Jesus himself is quoted as calling himself the Son of God. Can anyone reference a passage where I can show her that her friend’s father is mistaken? Thanks.

in Matt.3 vs 17, in Matt.17,vs 5 Two verse that tell us that Jesus is the Son of God. 👍

Mark 14:61-62
But he held his peace, and answered nothing. Again the high priest asked him, and said to him: Art thou the Christ the Son of the blessed God? 62 And Jesus said to him: I am. And you shall see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of the power of God, and coming with the clouds of heaven.
Not only does Jesus confirm to the High Priest his Divine Sonship, he declares it with the words “I AM”, meaning, I am God (a drawback to the Moses and the Burning Bush incident.)
Then the High Priest freaks out because of the “blasphemy” Jesus proclaims.
It is kinda silly that your buddy is attempting to claim that the New Testament, or Jesus himself, does not call him Christ.
