I have no comment on the deathbed confession but I do on the lone shooter being Lee Harvey Oswald. The magic appearing pristine bullet theory is incredibly dumb. Anyone who has had anything to do with guns and bullets knows a bullet can’t do what they say it did and be pristine - impossible! The bullet is found lying on the gurney - give me a break. It was placed there - you figure out the rest. The reason given for Lee Harvey Oswald killing JFK was that he wanted to go down in history. However, practically the first words out of his mouth were to deny he had anything to do with it and said he was a patsy. Doesn’t sound like someone who wanted to go down in history as having killed JFK. Did he know about it - probably but not defineitly. Did he even pull the trigger - probably not. Also, too many people on the sceen turned instinctively toward the grassy knoll when the shots were fired, even trained police. 1. It wasnt pristine–it was scarred from the rifling, going through bone, and the OTHER photo (which the conspiracists NEVER show) shows it bent a bit like a banana, And tell me, what agent would have the presense of mind to plant such a thing when it would have been much more reasonable NOT to plant one, risk getting caught planting it, etc…?
2. It wasnt a “magic bullet”—it actually did a reasonably steaight trajectory, through JFK’s neck and into Connally’s back–where the bone impact caused a slight defelction as it exiteted the Governor’s chest. The so-called’ “changing direction/making abrupt turns” was from Connnaly twisting about in his seat–from hearing and reacting to the FIRST MISSED SHOT (see #3)
3. One area the Warren Commision did get wrong was the numer of rounds Lee Oswald fired. Oswald almost certainly fired THREE shots–he was already loaded up when the procession rounded the corner, like any decent hunter/sniper/sharpshooter will be when anticipating shooting: The first shot STARTS the sequence–and almost certainly was deflected off into the wild blue by an intervening screen of oak trees. Three shots being fired is corraborted by THREE eye (ear) witnesses in the floor almost directly below the sniper nest in the depository–but their testimony was discount by the Commision largely from the grounds (not stated of course) that they were “negros” (African American) and not considered reliable.
4. Oswald was a dissembling, self justifying loner/loser/looney. He would do one thing and say the other–as witnessed by a radio interview done with him during his “Fair Play to Cuba” activity. He was ACTUALLY being primarily questioned in regards to his murdering a Dallas policeman, with evidence and testimony so overwelming, if he had walked for the assasination, he almost surely would have hung for the other.

1. People not only turned toward the grassy knoll, they rushed onto it fleeing in terror–any assasins there would have been witnessed by dozens of people–instead we have ONE woman with a prior history of mental illness who is the SOLE source of the grassy knoll snipers story
2. Six months prior to November, Oswald tried to kill a right-wing retired general–and missed the shot through the generals window (again deflection) He was a little man wiith delusions of self-importance and grandiosity. He WAS good at shooting–the “marksman” score was his LAST score in the USMC–his prior record he consistently scored “sharpshooter”–but scored lower on his last because of a lack of practice time, pulling a lot of punishment guard duty

Forget the bullet, what bothers me is the fact that none of the interveiws with Oswald were recorded and there are no notes or transcripts. I think Jack Ruby conviently killing Oswald and then dropping dead in prison is just too much to ask me to believe. I do not believe in the lone shooter.

Lee Oswald initial interviews/interrogations were in connection to his murdering a Dallas policeman–and at that time and place, such interrogations were not recorded or noted–in fact, Dallas investigators, by other cities standards, were sloppy. It was only when Oswald was going to be charged with the assasination that the FBI would have gotten involved in the questioning (they had only been observers before) and Federal investigation standards brought into play.

Jack Ruby was the last person one would use as a professional hitman–even with his Mob connections (what strib club owner in Texas at that time wouldnt have some?) He had a decades history of a violent temper, was a “Cop groupie”–hence Dallas police were used to him stalking around their facilities. Just prior to Ruby killing Oswald, he had been at Western Union, sending a telagram to his Mother. He barely made it to the station when Oswald was being transfered into Federal custody–this is NOT the sort of leeway a man on a premeditated mission of murder leaves for himself

BTW, Ruby died years later of protracted cancer (pancreatic I think)–this is NOT “just dropping dead”

Kennedy is a sensitive name. Someone on this forum, told on me for making a joke about Ted Kennedy in a Catholic word association game. Someone said “cross”, then someone said “Rugged”, then I said “Ted Kennedy”.

The reason I said that is that he that 1) he is Catholic and 2) if you look at the man, he looks rather rugged, like someone beat him with an ugly stick. I realize that losing all of your brothers to unnatural causes is a tragedy, but it was a word association game for crying out loud!

The cards I were dealt as a child weren’t that great. I went undiagnosed with A.D.D. as a child and was ridiculed by my peers and even some of my teachers for being the oddball and the daydreamer. My own mother at one time called me “stupid”, and tried to lessen the blow by saying, “you’re not stupid, you just do stupid things.” PLUS she would ridicule my father endlessly and then say “you’re just like your father” whenever I did something she didn’t like, such as not focusing on my chores and completing them in a timely maner.

But guess what? I AM STILL HERE and have come to terms that the pain of the past has shaped me to be the man I am today. I have even gone so far as to thank God for those painful moments, because throughout all of it, he was there with me and gave me comfort.

Anyway…I hope that Ted Kennedy or anyone affected by tragedy or painful moments in their lives can learn to cope as I have.
