jizya is a sign of humiliation of submission

muslim pays zakat to fulfill thier religious duty. therefore paying zakat is an honobale act of a muslim.

Non muslim pays jisyah as a sign of submission to superior muslim master. therefore paying jisyah is a humiliating act.

the distinction of zakat and jizyah is that… zakat is a muslim religious duty while jisyah is duty of the subject of muslim masters.

hence zakat is honor while jisyah is dishonor, do you agree?
 
No i disagree. Jizya is paid for every male adults who has work . Its a unified some and annual. It is paid because Muslims are allowed in the army and non muslims arent . Because defending Muslim land is entrusted only to muslims.

There is nothing called Muslim masters. If you dont pay Jhozya you are imprisoned and guess what !! so if you dont pay Zakat!!!

Not bieng inlested in the army This doesnt mean that you arent protected as a non Muslim!!!

Let me ask you somthing. If you were a catholic christian would you fight with Muslim armies against idol worshipping arabs for example?

Probably not because its not your Fight! Christians any way didnt care about arabs !! So why die for it?!!

Thus Islam made a way out for them. They dont have to fight which isnt their fight if they pay the Jizya. and in the same time enjoy same rights as muslims and same pritectyion as muslims and practice their faith .

I guess this is fair and square !! The catholic church persecuted copts and boiled them alive !!! They were happy they had Islam . They were happy to be able to practice their faith freely .

I think Jizya is a very good system. I mean they must pay a tax somehow!!! why we muslim pay zakat and there is no tax on non muslims?!!!

As long as you pay the protection money, otherwise, you’re fair game.
 
I’ve read many reports about the situation of the Dhimmi and the payment of the various taxes imposed upon them in their own native land by their Muslim masters. I also know Christians who are forced to live under such oppression and whose families have tried to escape by moving out. It is protection money just like the Mafia used to impose on hapless store owners in the 1920s and 30s in America.

Come to think of it, if Meedo thinks Jizya is so fair and balanced, would he object to paying protection money to be left alone to practice his religion in a Christian-majority country?

As a Muslim, I’d suppose it to be more than a little difficult for you to understand why God would allow one of His servants (His Son, in fact) to die as a common criminal.
 
Muslims living under a proper Islamic country( which you very well know they aren’t any) are under the obligation to perform certain tasks and duties. Non-Muslims who live in these countries are exempt from these responsibilities, i.e.: fasting Ramanda, going to Jumah, following the Islamic code of dress (they still have to be modest), going in to battle, etc. In fact non-Muslims are also exempt from certain laws and are not punished if they either do not follow the law or if they break the law. For these exemptions and for being allowed to practice their religion freely and being given free protection while they do not have to protect the Muslims, non-Muslims have to pay a tax. When they are old and retired, for paying the tax, they are given a pension plan by the state and it is the responsibilities of the Muslims to look after the non-Muslims in their old age. How is this in anyway humiliating?

ps: this is not some huge opressing tax. I don’t know excalty how much it it but it is I believe around the same amount the muslims pay.
